When it comes to your loved ones, finding them proper care can be a long and difficult process. And sometimes, even when you think you’ve found the perfect nursing home, you’ll start noticing symptoms that can lead you to think otherwise.
Not every symptom is a cause for concern - some are simply normal results of their condition. However, if you’re noticing any of the following, you may have a medical malpractice case on your hands.
- Bed sores - is your loved one bed-ridden? If you’re noticing bed sores developing, it’s possible that their needs are being neglected and they are not being turned and repositioned properly by nursing staff.
- Dehydration - elderly patients are extremely susceptible to dehydration. Often, facilities will not assist patients in eating and drinking and this lack of intake can lead to very quick dehydration.
- Falls - if a patient is calling for help and is not having their requests answered, they will often try to move on their own - resulting in them falling. This can also be a sign of negligence and unmet needs and should be addressed immediately.
If your family member is experiencing any or all of these symptoms, please give us a call for a consultation. We know your loved ones deserve better.
