Drinking and driving is obviously never a good idea. And, the more you do so, the more likely you are to be pulled over by the police. If stopped by law enforcement, you may be asked to participate in a breathalyzer, blood, or urine test and you’ll probably find yourself thinking, “should I do this?”. The answer is a resounding “YES”. In the state of Pennsylvania, you have the right to refuse these tests. However, if you were to do so, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation would automatically suspend your license for 12 months. This means that even if you are not convicted of a crime, you will not be able to drive for one full year. Therefore, in this case, it is in your best interest to submit to the tests that law enforcement are asking of you. Of course, not every case is the same, if you need more details or still have questions, we’d be happy to help. Give us a call for a consultation!
